FS Green WE -

Electricity from Solid Waste
Back
FS Green WE units are engineered to convert municipal and organic solid waste into clean electrical power. By replacing outdated thermal treatment methods, these installations deliver high-efficiency energy generation without combustion, smoke, or ash residues.

At the core of each FS Green WE unit is plasma gasification using a graphite electrode matrix, which sustains a cold-plasma zone at up to 2400 °C. This environment fully breaks down the waste’s molecular bonds, forming a high-calorific gas mixture that is then converted—through turbines or fuel cells—into electricity.
Key Advantages
Generation of electricity without combustion or particulate emissions
Zero release of toxic substances into the atmosphere
Rapid commissioning, modular assembly, and straightforward scalability
Reduction of feedstock
to just 5–10% inert residue
Compliance with EU Standards
FS Green WE fulfils the requirements of the following EU directives and standards:
IED Directive (2010/75/EU):
No direct combustion; complies with near-zero emission limits for CO₂, NOₓ, and SOₓ
Promotes recycling and minimizes landfill disposal
Waste Framework Directive (2008/98/EC):
EN 62282 Series:
Supports safe integration of generated energy into the grid
Qualifies as a “sustainable economic activity,” enhancing ESG performance
